weber.tec PU K 25 - permanently elastic, one-component polyurethane mass intended for sealing and filling joints. Due to its good adhesion, flexibility and ability to transfer deformations, it can withstand high loads. Bound mass is resistant to aging and weathering, also resistant to transient effects of acids and lyes. It retains flexibility in the temperature range of -30 ° C to + 80 ° C. It is characterized by good adhesion to concrete, cement, fiber cement, porous concrete, ceramics, metal, wood, artificial and natural stone (except slate, marble).
For sealing and filling joints and joints between buildings, in ceilings, in ceramic claddings (balconies, terraces, elevations, industrial floors, public buildings, etc.) in industrial floors (eg warehouses, production halls, food industry) and on surfaces subjected to pedestrian and vehicular traffic (eg parking lots).
For fillings and sealing dilatation in industrial facilities, works on finishing roofs. The mass is also used in the engineering, air, automotive, railway and shipbuilding industries.
The sides of the slit must be clean, dry, free from residues of plaster, paint, rust, oil, wax, grease, bitumen, dust. Any impurities that reduce adhesion should be removed, for example, with wire brushes or by sandblasting. In case of doubt about adhesion, a test should be carried out. Possible damages to the edge of the joint are to be repaired with, for example, PCC mortars or other materials, taking into account in the selection of repair technology mechanical and chemical loads, depth of losses, strength parameters of the substrate.
The material is ready for use, the packaging should be placed in a manual or pneumatic squeezer.
Application temperature: from +50 C to +350 C. weber.tec PU K 25 cures due to humidity absorbed from the air, hence the performance of seals in conditions of lack of air access should not be carried out.
Secure the edges with, for example, painting tape. The mass may only adhere to both side walls of the gap, therefore a dilatation rope should be placed in the gap with a diameter larger by approx. 20% than its width.
Weber.tec PU K 25 insert into the gap with a manual or pneumatic squeezer and remove the tape protecting the edges of the joint (before binding the preparation). Do not allow bubbles to form at the edges of the joint or in the middle of the applied material.
